1980’s O-Pee-Chee Hockey Set Collection From Ontario to Vancouver – Successful Deal Made In Record Time!
|I generally meet up with people in Vancouver when buying cards, but truth be told, it doesn’t matter if you live 20 minutes away, or 2,000 miles away…we can still do business together easily! Usually, I wax on about my business model and the benefits it has if you do not want to sell your collection on your own, but once in a while, someone who has just sold me their cards sums up what I want to say perfectly. Case in point, the following is a letter of recommendation from a gentleman in Grimsby, Ontario, who recently sent me his card collection in the mail. We made a successful deal within a matter of days, and he was generous enough to provide the letter of testimony below. If you have 1980’s OPC hockey sets or a large collection of vintage sports cards, (the more the better – the older the better) please contact me today! I can be reached by phone at 604-726-1774 or by e-mail at info@aasportscards.com or mchark@shaw.ca
I located the AA Sports Cards site through a Google search, and was happy to discover that it was Canadian-based. While I live in Grimsby, ON, and the company is based in Vancouver, BC, it’s always great to support Canadian businesses. When I reached out to Mike, I was met with a prompt and detailed reply, outlining all of my options, and how he could be of assistance, assuming I didn’t want to auction / sell my collection in separate components online (I didn’t). With some additional communication between us (which was great and very personable), he provided a high level estimate of what he could pay for my collection. It was a fair and honest price – I didn’t know Mike well, but ‘checked his references’ by reviewing his YouTube channel and Facebook page. In the end, no reference check was needed – he is an honest person who runs a reputable Canadian business.
I packaged up the cards and shipped – once Mike confirmed the package arrived on Thursday, July 2nd, he had reviewed the contents and offered a final price yesterday evening (July 3rd). There wasn’t any reason to haggle – the price was almost exactly what he had advised in our communications (I had overestimated the condition of some of my cards, not being a professional). I agreed to the sale and less than an hour later I received payment. Again, upon receipt of the package, Mike had assessed and submitted payment to me in slightly more than 24 hours! That was amazing… even though I am out of province, and there are current delays to shipping, the entire experience (once I shipped) took a little more than a week.
If you are looking to sell your sports cards collections and want a fair price with ZERO hassle, reach out to Mike at AA Sports Cards. You will be more than glad that you did. I know if I stumble across any old cards in the future, I’ll be reaching out to him again.
