THIS CONSIGNOR DIPPED HIS TOE IN THE WATER WITH AA SPORTS CARDS AND FOLLOWED IT UP WITH A DEEP DIVE AND A LONG SWIM!

We often encourage collectors to “dip their toe in the water” with us when it comes to consignment. Give us one good item, or a few things that we identify as being strong items to sell, and then let us show you how simple it is, and how it can be much more profitable than trying to sell your cards in other ways.

We are very confident that if you’re thinking about consigning sports cards to us, once you do, you will want to become a repeat consignor! Proof of that is in the latest testimonial from a recent client. Please read his first hand account of starting out small with us, and then happily consigning the rest of his collection shortly thereafter.

1952 Topps Jackie Robinson

I discovered AA Sports Cards back in the spring/summer of 2023 while researching how to sell vintage sports cards.  I have a collection of Topps baseball cards from 1952, 1954,1955,and 1956 from when my Dad was a kid.

We first discovered them in 1984 when my Dad saw an ad in the paper about someone looking to buy vintage sports cards.

My Dad went to his childhood home and found his cards.  The 1952 Topps included the high numbered series with  #311 Mickey Mantle and #312 Jackie Robinson.  We proceeded to buy our first price guide and were excited to see the Mantle valued at $800.

I’m a little sheepish to say that we sold the Mantle to a wealthy friend for a fraction of what it would go for today.

So after procrastinating for a while I approached Mike at AA sports cards around Xmas 2023 about selling the Jackie Robinson Topps cards I had from 1952 and 1956.

I was definitely hesitant regarding this whole process as who wants to hand over their valuable asset to a stranger.  However, after finally agreeing to meet Mike, my fears were quickly put at ease due his calm, trustworthy demeanour.

I handed over the 2 cards as a trial to test out the consignment process on eBay.  It was straightforward and easy, Mike and Dave were very professional from their communication to their marketing of the cards.  The auction was straightforward. I was able to watch the bids over the entire week and payment was prompt and straightforward.

I am now consigning the rest of the collection to them.
