A Very Happy Consignor Talks About His Experience Dealing with AA Sports Cards
|Normally, I write an introductory paragraph explaining the background behind the collection we have just purchased, or in this case, sold on consignment. In this case, the gentleman we just dealt with, did such a superior job of detailing the process, I will simply turn this post over to the review he wrote below. I have to add though, that it gives me great pride when consignors take time out of their busy lives “after” the deal is done, and openly convey to others how satisfied they were, working with us! It’s my goal to have every consignor be as happy and have as many positive things to say as this person did, after we sold his collection for him. With no further adieu, here is this collectors experience consigning his vintage hockey and baseball collection to AA sports cards.
I am very satisfied with the service provided by Mike and Dave. I had a collection of OPC hockey cards from 1968-69 to 1972-73, 1969 & 1972 wrappers and 1967 OPC baseball cards that I had collected as a child, as well as Post Cereal collectibles from the same period. With neither the time nor the expertise to sell these on my own, I found the AA Sportscards website and saw what they did, and read testimonials given by other satisfied users of their services. I called Mike and had a 45-minute conversation with him about what he could do to sell my collectibles. I was impressed by his knowledge. familiarity and enthusiasm for the cards and Post Cereal items that I owned. I sent the items to him by Canada Post. Upon receiving them, he actually made a Youtube video to show the variety of the collectibles that I had sent him as he was opening the box, in real time ! He is passionate about his business and it shows.
As he began to sell the items, I was impressed by his selection and presentation of the collectibles on AA Sportscards’ website. The cards and Post Cereal items were attractively photographed so as to present them in the best light. I was blown away by his in-depth description of each and every individual card, showing both highlights and defects. His full disclosure was sure to mitigate any concerns from any potential buyer. The final bids generated for the cards by his ads were also impressive, even more so, as I did not have complete sets for all of the years submitted to him. The Post Cereal items also sold well.
Overall, I would rate Mike and Dave’s service as A+, and I plan to use their services again in the future.
