Cards and Comics: Another Successful Consignment Sale & Letter of Recommendation
|Well, 2021 is here and based on the emails I’m getting, there is a lot of interest in consignment sales! Ever since the recent $1 million dollar Wayne Gretzky Rookie Card sale, (and even before that), many people have been revisiting their collections and deciding whether now is finally time to sell. After holding on to his cards and comics for many years, Stephen, my latest consignment seller, decided it was time to part with his collection, and he came across my website while researching options on the best way to go about it. Lucky for him, there really has never been a better time than now to sell! Stephen had a (relatively) small but interesting card collection from the 1970’s and a larger comic collection from the 1970’s to the late 80’s. (I say his card collection was “interesting” because most people who contact me have hockey cards, but Stephen’s collection didn’t have a single hockey card in the whole lot! See the photos below.) Anyway, after some discussions, Stephen decided to sell his comic collection outright and his card collection as a consignment sale, and I’m happy to report that he was very pleased with the results. Please read his letter of testimony below:
Mike,
I want to thank you for your time and patience and for helping me with my old trading card and comic collection that I wanted to sell, but had no idea how to go about it properly. I appreciate how you took the time, explaining everything to me and laid out the options for selling you my collection outright or taking it on consignment. While you made a fair offer to buy my card collection outright, your suggestion that consignment would probably be more profitable was right, even if it took a little longer to get the money. I have been very happy with the way things have turned out and my auction close prices were much better than I expected. I would recommend AA Sports Cards for anyone looking to sell their cards or comics. In fact, I’ve already recommended a friend. Thanks again for the help.
Stephen B.
