Early 1950’s Topps Baseball Card Collection w/Testimony From Seller
|I have purchased many estates and inheritances over the years! Many times, non-collectors are confused by the dizzying array of information online. Quite often the “same” card or set is offered at vastly different prices! If you attempt to gather more information, unless you are active in the market, you may not be aware of what goes into the value of vintage sports cards. If someone is honest and up-front with me, I pledge to be the same in return! A great example of this philosophy can be found in one of my recent purchases. The couple who came into this early 1950’s baseball card collection found it difficult to get a straight answer from a large buyer in the United States. “The grass is NOT always greener,” I suppose, but the good news is, they didn’t have to go far to find me! After a few conversations and a meeting in person with social distancing protocols in place, we were able to come to a fair deal for both parties! If you have an early 1950’s Topps baseball card collection and like this gentleman, you don’t want to go down the rabbit hole of trying to sell them yourself, I’m a phone call away (604-726-1774). I can also be reached by e-mail at info@aasportscards.com or mchark@shaw.ca
After inheriting a collection of baseball cards, I went about researching the best way to sell them. It quickly became apparent that this is no easy task. The whole process is quite complex, subjective and time consuming and I’m not quite sure if someone outside the business would ever know if they received a fair offer for their collection. If you look at testimonials, you will often see the sentiment that people thought they would receive more than offered. I came across Mike’s website and after watching a podcast and scrolling through his Facebook page, it seemed like Mike has been a long-time enthusiast of sports memorabilia. After chatting with Mike and meeting so he could see the collection, he made an offer which I accepted. Mike is friendly and clearly knowledgeable and explained the process of how he buys collections, which seemed consistent with what I had read. The process was quick and easy!
Thanks again Mike
Cheers
