Selling your sports cards to me is easy! For your convenience, I offer several ways to buy collections.
Junk-Wax Disclaimer: While we are always looking for quality material, (vintage and high-end modern cards), unfortunately we cannot purchase every collection that is presented to us. Due to the mass overproduction of cards from the late 1980’s and 1990’s, (so-called “junk-wax”), the supply of cards from that era far exceeds the demand. With limited exceptions for certain rare insert cards, or PSA 10 graded rookie cards of players such as Ken Griffey Jr. (1989 Upper Deck #1) or Jaromir Jagr (1990-91 OPC Premier #50), we cannot purchase these types of collections. Please do not take offense if we decline to purchase your late 80’s/90’s card collection, but we simply cannot purchase inventory that we cannot sell.
1. Selling Your Sports Cards: In Person Buys
If you live in Vancouver, or anywhere in the Lower Mainland, please call me at 604-726-1774 or email me at info@aasportscards.com to discuss your collection and arrange an in-person meeting. If we can come to a mutual agreement on price, I will meet you in person and pay you cash on the spot for your collection!
2. Selling Your Sports Cards: Mail Purchases
I’m based in Vancouver, but if you live anywhere in Canada, we can still do business together! I have successfully purchased collections in the mail from Victoria, BC to St. John’s, Newfoundland. As the photos on this website will attest, many people have sent me their items in the mail. The process is simple. Contact me at info@aasportscards.com, or call me at 604-726-1774 to discuss your collection and get some ballpark prices. (Because we can’t meet in person, phone calls are preferred.) If you want to proceed after our phone conversation, simply box up your goods and send them to my office in Vancouver via Canada Post or UPS with signature required for proof of delivery. There is no risk, and with signature confirmation, you are guaranteed to know your items were received at my end. When people send me their items, I never leave them hanging or wondering—I evaluate everything I receive promptly! Once we have agreed on a price, I will send payment the same day via e-transfer or the next morning by certified bank draft via TD Canada Trust. I love making deals with sellers from all over Canada, I especially like helping out those folks in small towns, who don’t have any local options.
3. Selling Your Sports Cards: Consignment Sales
In addition to buying collections outright via in person meetings and mail purchases, I’m also offering sellers the option to do consignment sales for quality vintage and modern sports cards. The beginning of the process is very similar to an upfront cash sale, (we would meet in person or you would send me your items through the mail), except: a) all your items would be sold via auction, and, b) you would only be paid after the sale is made and the funds have been deposited in my account. I still do all the work of selling your collection, but you just have to wait a little bit longer for your money. If you’re not in a rush, this is a great way to get more money for your sports cards and memorabilia! Read more about the consignment process here.
