Large Sports Cards Purchase with Unboxing Video and Letter of Testimony

While I often meet people locally in Vancouver to make deals, I also do business with people all over Canada, and to that point, I recently made a large sports cards purchase via the mail. As the story goes, I was contacted by a gentleman in British Columbia who wanted to liquidate a large collection of sports cards that was acquired in the early 90’s. He did not know of anyone locally who he could deal with, so he found my website, we exchanged some emails and had a chat over the phone, and then he shipped me his items! Even though we were not in the same city, that did not stand in the way of us making, not one, but two deals! The first part of the deal was primarily hand collated sets (partial and complete), and unopened wax boxes and factory sets. Having been acquired during the last collecting boom, there was a fair amount “junk wax” in this collection, but there was also a significant amount of 1980’s era O-Pee-Chee hockey, as well some baseball and basketball that pre-dated the 90’s. While I can’t always buy everything, due to the popularity PSA 10 base cards, there is a market for sealed product from almost any era, and there was enough vintage hockey in the mix for this deal to make sense. After I picked up and evaluated the first portion of his collection (as seen above), the seller was so pleased with how things worked out, that we reached another deal involving some additional vintage baseball, basketball, and hockey. The key card in the second half of the deal was a vintage 1985 Star Basketball Michael Jordan card.
