I recently purchased a collection of O-Pee-Chee Baseball/CFL cards from someone who inherited them, and was subsequently having a hard time when it came to selling them. I inherited my sports cards, and quite frankly I didn’t care much for them. I knew they were worth something, but I had no idea how much. I also knew that it would be easy to rip me off, because it would be easy to clue in that I knew nothing about the cards and sadly a lot of people would try take advantage of it. I tried to do my research online trying to figure out the value of what I had, but I got overwhelmed pretty quickly. I posted an ad on craigslist with “best offer” for price hoping that someone would come and offer me something worth to consider, but quickly realized that I would not get far with it. People wanted to come and pick through my collection, and leave me with the rest that had little or no value. I took the cards to a couple of stores and got low-balled. Needless to say, I was getting tired of running around and frustrated with the way everyone was treating me.

That’s when I found Mike. I texted him a few pictures of what I had and he called me right back. We talked on the phone for a good half an hour. He patiently explained to me how the business works and how the cards can vary in price. We arranged a meeting, and again he took time talking to me and carefully examining my collection. His offer was better than anyone else’s, but what I especially appreciated was the fact that he told me how much the collection is worth, and why he is willing to pay what he paid. I didn’t realize how much work goes into selling sports cards! There is no way I could or would do that myself! I felt very confident that I am getting a fair deal. I would not hesitate recommending Mike to anyone. He is honest and he knows his business.
