THIS PERSON “THOUGHT” SELLING HIS COLLECTION WOULD BE AN INSURMOUNTABLE TASK…UNTIL HE CALLED AA SPORTS CARDS
|When people call us to inquire about consigning or selling their cards directly to us, one of our first questions is, “What kind of items are in your collection?” We ask this so we can ascertain if we are the right company to help you. If you have cards from the early 90’s that were produced in the millions, the answer will generally be, “We appreciate you contacting us but we can’t use that kind of material.” On the other hand, if you have vintage hockey or baseball cards, sports memorabilia from historic sporting events, or rookie or autographed cards of current players such as, Alex Ovechkin, Connor Bedard or Shohei Ohtani, the answer is always, “YES, WE WOULD LOVE TO WORK WITH YOU!”
Recently, we went to see a collection that contained a mix of items we could not use, but a variety of other items that we were definitely interested in! After reviewing the collection and a small amount of negotiating, we came to a agreement that both parties were happy with. After our deal was done, this collector took the time to write the following review about his experience with AA Sports Cards.
Good day,
I have/had a very large collection of sports cards (mainly Hockey) that I wanted to sell as I am now retired and wanting to downsize. I am talking hundreds and hundreds of autographed and game worn patch/jersey cards. I was stressed out and had no idea where to start. As we all tend to do theses days I turned to Google. During my search I came across AA Sports Cards.
After reviewing their Web site and reading the reviews I decided to give them a call, and I am so glad I did. Mike answered on the first few rings (quite a scarcity these days). After speaking with Mike and explaining my situation Mike took the time to explained their business model to me, including the condition of the current collectable card market and exactly what I could expect in dealing with AA Sports Cards. All my questions and concerns were answered thoroughly and professionally and I felt completely at easy. Having been in sales myself for 35 years I could tell Mike was honest and trustworthy.
Mike suggested that he and his partner Dave come out and go through my collection, after which they would give me two options, one to buy the items they wanted and the other to consign the items.
From the moment that Mike and Dave showed up at my home I felt as if we had known each other for years. They were both very mild mannered and unassuming. Mike and Dave spent the next 5 hours going through the collection. At the end of that process, we discussed the two options and I decided to sell the cards outright to AA Sports Cards. Mike and Dave were very fair with the cash offer and I was extremely happy.
I strongly recommend Mike and Dave and AA Sports Cards if you are contemplating selling your sports card collection. I would like to personally thank Mike and Dave for helping me through what felt like an insurmountable task.
